iPad Integration
During Open House in the Fall of 2012, President MacDougal announced that every student in Mercy's Class of 2016 will be receiving their very own iPad as part of the school's techKNOWLEDGEy program. Both prospective students and their parents were INSPIRED by the presentation given at Open House that allowed for families to experience hands-on demonstrations of the educational power of the iPad, quickly coming to learn of its usefulness in conjunction with Mother of Mercy's already expansive tech-agility program. As Mrs. MacDougal stated during the presentation, "You can see now why Mother of Mercy continues to be the leader of cutting-edge technology for high school education in Cincinnati," citing the fact that Mercy's tech-agile faculty and student body is what enables Mercy to add incredible additions in tech devices as quickly as they become available in this fast-paced evolution of technology.
The iPad will be woven into the new Individual Excellence Program that initiates and tracks each girl's personal academic journey throughout high school. Students will work with their Guidance Counselors and teachers to use the new program, thereby building upon Mercy's already successful commitment to developing each girl's personal gifts and abilities. Mercy is moving ahead in the personalized experience of education by using the latest and most sophisticated technology tools that can further engage and inspire students.
