*Students in the Class of 2014 and 2015 are required to have 4 credits in Math for graduation.
All students will need to pass the five Ohio Graduation Tests (OGT), first administered in March of their Sophomore Year.
Beginning with the class of 2009, a service component has been added as a graduation requirement. Mother of Mercy's "Service Requirement Program" integrates a minimum of 10 hours of service each year with a particular curricular offering at each grade level. See individual courses for more details.
All students are expected to take at least two years of a World Language. A third year is required for acceptance into the National Honor Society.

Numerical Grades/GPA/Rank
Report cards are issued four times a year and use numerical grades according to the following scale. Weighted grades are reflected in the weighted numerical average and on the student transcript.
100-93 =A
Excellent Achievement
92-85 = B
Above Average Achievement
84-78 = C
Average Achievement
77-70 = D
Poor Achievement
Below 70 = F

The School calculates an unweighted numerical average and a weighted numerical average and GPA according to a three-weight system of 0, 2, and 4. A ”O” weight indicates that the course is not weighted. Lifetime Activities, Vocal Ensemble, and Drama are not calculated in the numerical or weighted averages.
The weighted numerical grades are calculated by multiplying the numerical grade by 1.02 or 1.04. For example, a numerical grade of 93% in Advanced Algebra is multiplied by 1.02 resulting in a grade of 94.86% (93% + 1.86 = 94.86%).
