Sources of Tuition Assistance

After School Student Work Credit Program
Open to all students with priority selection given to current workers and those demonstrating a financial need. 
Students perform light housekeeping cleaning up to one hour per day immediately after school each day.  Workers receive tuition credit in the amount of $6.00 per hour worked.

Summer Student Work Credit Program
Open to all students with priority selection given to current workers and those demonstrating a financial need. A limited number of spots are available in this program. 
Students perform light housekeeping cleaning for 6 hours per day for a two-week session.  Workers receive tuition credit in the amount of $6.00 per hour worked.

Applications should be returned to Mercy by April 15th.

Mother of Mercy Educational Aid Fund (Mercy Grants)
Open to current students demonstrating a financial need.

The Private School Aid Service (PSAS) application must be completed to be considered for an award. The PSAS application date of MARCH 1, 2014 is strictly enforced - download the PSAS form here, contact our Finance Office for a copy, or complete the form online at the PSAS website(Mercy's code for the PSAS form is 3813)  A $25.00 processing fee must be sent to PSAS with your application.  Funds awarded are credited directly to your tuition account. Funds are provided by the Sisters of Mercy, Bridge Marathon, 500 Marathon, Memorials, Alumnae Association and private donors.


SCHOLARSHIPS
These scholarships are automatically available for any current students in classes 2015 – 2017, provided their family has completed the 2014 PSAS application by March 1, 2014. Awards are based on student's GPA and family's financial need.

Janet C. Bamberger Scholarship
For current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors
Based upon demonstrated commitment to Mercy values.

Carol T. Dressman Spirit Scholarship
For current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors
Based upon demonstrated commitment to the school's mission and outstanding school spirit.

Mary Jo Huismann Scholarships

Open to current student athletes who demonstrate a need for financial assistance.
Based on academic achievement in relation to ability, fulfillment of athletic obligations, and overall school spirit.

Faculty-Staff Scholarships

For current freshmen, sophomores and juniors
Based on academic average, involvement in service activities and financial need.

"Benefactor" Awards
For current freshmen, sophomores and juniors
Based on academic average, involvement in service activities and financial need

Laura Beth Erb Creative Arts Scholarship
For current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors
Based on demonstrated skill in creative arts (visual art, music, drama and needlework)

Marian R. Ellerhorst Math/Science Scholarship
For current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors
Based on demonstrated skill in math and science

Key Club Scholarships
Open to current freshmen, sophomore and junior Key Club Members
Based on service & participation in the club activities
Applications available from Key Club Moderator and will be awarded in May

Barbara and James O’Connell and Daughters Scholarships
For current freshmen, sophomores and juniors
Based on demonstrated skill in the humanities

Student Council Scholarships
Open to current freshmen, sophomores and juniors
Based on academic achievement in relation to ability and service to Mercy and the community

Trauth-Dressman English Scholarships
Awarded to current juniors
Based on demonstrated skill and commitment in English

Sr. Mary Carlos Drama Scholarship
For current freshmen, sophomore and junior drama students
Half of the drama fee
