PowerTeacher Final Grade Instructions
Please follow the directions below. There is an attached detailed document for each of the steps below.
Make sure that there are nofinal grades are higher than 100 and no grade lower than a 60.
To override a
final grade:
- click on
the final grade area in the Scoresheet
Window for a specific student.
- select the
Score Inspector from either
the Tool Menu in the menu bar
or by holding the Control Key while
clicking in the final grade area. (the title of the window the
comes up should say “Final Grade”)
- select the
Manual Override checkbox
- enter the
new grade in both the grade and percentage box.
- To override with an Incomplete - pull down the grade menu and choose an "I" for Incomplete. Leave the percentage as is.
To Enter Comments
- in the same
“Final Grade” score inspector as above, click the Comment tab of the score inspector
- you should
get a list of our comments – click the comment you want and then click Insert Selected
- DO NOT type in your own
comment – use the ones that are already listed! Use no more than 2
comments!

Mark Final Grades Complete –
THIS IS THE FINAL STEP – make sure that all grades and comments are
correct before completing this step
- right
above the student name in the Scoresheet
Window there is a box that says “Q1
in Progress”
- click the “Q1 in Progress” box
- check the
box that says “Final Grades
Complete”
- click OK
Print your own Grade Verification Report
- click the Report Window
- choose the
Final Grade and Comment
Verification Report
- select the
options that you want included in the report
- click Run Report
A few other
reminders:
· You may not give an Incomplete or
a grade below a 60 without the principal's approval
·
Please
do not write in your own comments – use the comment bank
