2013 Summer Camps
Hundreds of grade school students - young and old, boys and girls - had great experiences in a variety of camps offered at Mother of Mercy High School last summer! With a variety of athletic, academic and extracurricular camps to choose from students of all ages are sure to find at least one camp that meets their interest! Plus, we even have a Set for High School Success camp open to incoming freshmen to help them prepare for their transition to high school.

Athletic Summer Camps

Art Camp
June 10 - 13
Grades 4 - 6: 9 - 11 a.m.
Grades 6 - 12: noon - 2p.m.
Open to: boys and girls.
Cost: $60 (includes materials and t-shirt)
Draw, paint and advance your knowledge of art.

Cooking with Friends
SOLD OUT
June 11 - 14
Noon - 2:30 p.m.
Open to: girls in 6th-8th grades
Cost: $65 (includes food)
This is a summer workshop for girls interested in learning the basics of cooking. In small groups, you will prepare foods using a special theme each class. You will be able to sit down and ear your meal each day.
Cooking with Friends has reached capacity for the 2013 camp.
"Gotta Dance" Summer Camp
June 24 - 28
Open to: Boys and girls ages 3 - 9
Ages 3 - 5: 9 - 10 a.m.
Ages 3 - 5: 10 - 11 a.m.
Ages 6 - 9: 11 a.m. - noon
Ages 3 - 5: Noon - 1 p.m.
Cost: $55
Dancers will learn songs, hip-hop routines and enjoy snacks and a craft or two! This year's theme is "Brave!"

Sapphire Girls Dance Camp & More!
June 17 - 21
11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Open to: girls ages K - 8th grade
Cost: $60
Learn about self esteem, confidence building, hair and makeup, diet and exercise, and safety, all that play a part in building a stronger, well-rounded young lady. You'll learn a special dance that you will perform on the last day of camp along with a camp party.

Open to: Freshmen Class of 2017
This course focuses on study skills, learning styles, discovering your interests, orientation to high school and much more.

Theatreworks
July 22-26, 2013

Theatreworks is filled
with fun, excitement and the magic of theatre! Theatreworks is a fun,
safe backdrop where kids can come together to act in an artistic
playground. Our Theatreworks teachers are carefully selected from
Northern Kentucky University,
Indiana University, Wright State University, Cincinnati College of
Music, Ball State, The College of Mount St. Joseph and Madcap
Productions, and will inspire your children to take center stage!
Theatreworks spotlights two categories of your choice:
- Fun with Acting:
concentrates on improvisation,
developing characters for the
stage, voice/imagination activities, pantomime, script creation,
acting games, storytelling,set/prop design and acting skills.
- Musical Theatre:
puts
focus on Broadway songs and choreography, script creation, acting games,
movement
fun, prop/set design and musical acting skill.
*Each category is divided into
youngest, middle & oldest groups
*No previous experience required!
Writing Camp: Words with Friends
July 1 - 5 (no camp July 4)
9:30 a.m. - Noon
Open to: Girls in grades 4th - 7th
Cost: $60 (includes craft materials, snacks and t-shirt)
Make new friends as we have fun with words. We’ll play games, write stories, create poems, do crafts, have snacks and more at this camp that celebrates imagination.
