Fall 2012

Shadowing: Starting at the beginning of our school year, eighth graders are invited to experience a Mercy school day. Shadow a current Mercy student to get a feel of what it’s really like to be a Bobcat.  Schedule in advance, as grade school in-service days fill up quickly!
Future Bobcat Spirit Games: Cheer on our volleyball teams with current Bobcats and other Future Bobcats as they face St. Ursula on Tuesday, September 18!
Open House: Sixth, seventh and eighth grade girls and their families are invited to see all that Mercy has to offer at Open House on Sunday, October 28 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Future Bobcat Theatre Night: Don’t miss the special Guys and Dolls preview show at the College of Mount Saint Joseph on Thursday, November 1.
HSTP Prep Class: Strengthen your test-taking skills at our HPST Prep Classes, offered on November 3 or November 10.
HSPT: Register to take the High School Placement Test (offered at Mercy on November 17).

Admission Forms Due: Admission Applications (to be submitted to Mercy) and any scholarships or financial aid (PSAS Application to be submitted to PSAS) are due by November 17. Scholarships and financial aid are available for incoming freshman in many categories. The Release of Records form is to be submitted to your current school in order for your academic records to arrive at Mercy by Friday, December 7.

Christmas On Campus: Be sure to RSVP to one of our most popular events, Christmas on Campus! On Friday, December 7, eighth graders are invited to spend the night at Mercy and get to know other Future Bobcats! (8 p.m. - 8 a.m.)

Winter 2013

Admission Announcement: Check your mail! On Friday, January 4, we will announce all admission, scholarship and tuition assistance offers for the incoming Class of 2017. Following Archdiocesan guidelines, scholarship announcements and admission letters will be mailed on this date. This year Mercy expects to increase the number and value of scholarships available to incoming freshmen.

Admission with Distinction: On Monday, January 14, we welcome all scholarship recipients of the Class of 2017 and their families to Mercy for a dinner and formal presentation of their awards.

Scholarship Acceptance Deadline: All scholarship recipients must accept or decline their financial award by Tuesday, January 15.

Registration: Registration for incoming freshmen begins on Friday, January 18 from 3 - 5 p.m. with a Commitment Day party! All incoming freshmen are encouraged to join the celebration as an official Bobcat. A non-refundable tuition deposit and registration form is required to attend. (Although the party ends at 5 p.m., we will continue to collect registration forms and deposits until 7 p.m. Deposits and forms will continue to be accepted after this date until capacity is reached.)

World Language & Geometry Placement Tests: Optional tests to be scheduled via application upon registration. Please consult your 8th grade Math/Language teacher to determine if you are qualified to test out of specific courses.
World Language Placement Test: April 16 | Geometry Placement Test: April 18 (Both at 4 p.m.)

Future Bobcat Spirit Games:
Cheer on our basketball teams with current Bobcats and other Future Bobcats as they face Oak Hills on Tuesday, January 22.

Course Scheduling Packets: Information will be mailed to you mid-February.

Future Bobcat Theatre Night: Be sure to come see the Spring Play preview show in Mercy’s theater on Thursday, February 28.

Spring 2013

Personal Class Scheduling Conferences: Classes are scheduled for Mercy’s Class of 2017 March 4 & 5 (Monday and Tuesday) from 3:15 - 6:00 p.m. (Details in February packets.)
 
Junior Bobcat Night: Fifth and sixth grade girls are invited to Mercy on Friday, March 8 for a night full of fun. From 6:00 - 8:30 p.m., enjoy activities including a scavenger hunt, music, dance, crafts, a bonfire and pizza party, plus much more!

Easter Egg Hunt: Parents and kids ages 1-10, join us on Mercy’s front lawn Saturday, March 16.

Spring Into Mercy: Seventh graders are invited to "spring into Mercy" on April 12 from 6 - 9 p.m. Enjoy ice-cream, a movie and get a head start on learning everything Mercy has in store for you during your 8th grade year.
 
Tuition Packets Mailed: Information will be mailed to you mid-April.

Incoming Parent Social: The Parents' Association will sponsor a gathering for incoming parents on Tuesday, April 16 at 7:00 p.m. in Mercy's library. Have your questions answered by current parents while meeting other incoming freshmen parents. RSVP Margaret Rieger at murmur@fuse.net or 513.662.3948.

Athletic Meeting: All incoming students interested in playing a sport their freshman year are highly encouraged to attend an athletic meeting with at least one parent on Thursday, April 25 at 7:00 p.m. in Mercy's gym. For questions, contact Denise Harvey, Athletic Director at 513.661.2740 ext. 325.

Pinkies Out: First through forth graders and moms  (or aunts, grandmas, guardians) are invited to a tea party and pampering sessions on Saturday, May 11. Dazzle us with your favorite party hats, boas and dresses.

Tuition Packets Due: Your tuition forms must be submitted to Mercy by mid-May. (Date included in packet.)

Summer 2013

Get ready! Your freshman year as a Mercy Bobcat begins in June with summer camps, courses and conditioning!

Fall Sports Tryouts: Students interested in playing a fall sport must attend tryouts on Thursday, August 1.

Student Schedules Mailed: All student schedules will be placed in the mail mid August.

iPad orientation:

Freshman/Parent Liturgy & Picnic: Freshmen and their parents are welcomed to Mercy with a liturgy and picnic on Sunday, August 18 at 5:30 p.m. 

Freshman Orientation:
Wednesday, August 21.

First Day of School: Thursday, August 22.
