• Today we will be following schedule 8.

• All forms should be turned into your homeroom teacher this morning. Each day the forms are late a conduct point will be issued until the forms are turned in.

• Today is picture day for Freshman, sophomore and juniors. Your homeroom teacher will let you know your time to report to the “main lobby” for your picture.

• Today is the last day to turn in your summer reading contest form to the library. Winners will be announced next week.

• College-bound Bobcats,
You and your parents are invited to attend an MECC College Information Night. This event will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 6th from 6:00 pm until 8:30 pm, at McAuley. School counselors from both Mercy and McAuley schools are organizing. College reps and former students will present information about the college application process, financial aid, and college credit plus. Register using the link on Mercy's website.

• Books By the Banks is sponsoring a short story competition for teen writers. The deadline of Sept. 1 is fast approaching. Get details in the nook outside Room 115 and sign up for an appointment to polish your work with Mercy's new writing coach, Mrs. David.

• Freshmen: Today is another vision and hearing screening day. You will receive a pass on your assigned day. If you are leaving study hall for the nurse’s office you MUST SIGN OUT OF STUDY HALL before heading to the nurse’s office.

• Sophomores there will be mandatory Service Learning session on Monday in the Theatre during flex time.

• ALT (Advancement Leadership Team) Recruiting Officers have a meeting with Mrs Reisman after school in room 102.

• PALs, an organization where students write letters and make crafts for senior citizens, will meet on Tuesday during FLEX in the theatre. If you want to have fun making crafts and bringing smiles to the faces of our senior citizens, PALs is the club for you! Please attend our organizational meeting on Tuesday and learn how you can be a pal to the elderly in our community.

• Just wanted to remind you of the letter Mrs. Becker sent out to you at the end of last school year via Blackboard regarding your service requirements for this year. If there are any Juniors or Seniors who are interested in being a part of a Magnified Giving opportunity as a part of your service requirements there is a sign up sheet located on the Community Service Board located outside of the cafeteria Today is the last day to sign up.

• Juniors and Seniors, make sure you are checking Blackboard for announcements regarding potential service needs in the area. New volunteer opportunities are posted daily.

• Mrs. Kroner’s A2 class will meet in the Mac Lab today.

• Congratulations to all our sports teams who competed yesterday...way to battle, especially in the heat! Special congratulations to all the winners!

• Mrs. Johnson is not at Mercy today. All freshman that have Mrs. Johnson should report to study hall. Upperclassmen have honor time.

• Please remember that there is to be no food or drink anywhere in the school, except the cafeteria. This includes all beverages - water is the only exception. Any food or drink brought to school in the morning needs to stay in the cafeteria. Eating during flex time can only occur in the cafeteria. No eating in any resource area, hallway or lobby areas.
• Locks need to be on lockers by next Friday September 2nd. You are required to have a school issued lock on your assigned locker. Conduct points will be issued if this is not done. This is a school rule and school policy. We remind you, when at all possible, please don’t bring valuable items and large sums of money to school at all. But, if you do, please be sure to lock those items in your locker.
• Please be in uniform at all times. Teachers are checking for uniform violations at all times, this includes having your school ID on and visible. If you do not have an ID, please visit the main office to order a new one and get a temporary ID.
