• The cafeteria will be closed this morning for the mother/daughter breakfast.

• There will be a meeting during flex on Tuesday May 2 for anyone going on the St. Vincent DePaul summer mission trip. The meeting will be in room 102.

• Mother of Mercy parents and students are invited to walk through the Oakwood building of the new Mercy McAuley High School (the present home of McAuley High School) on Saturday, April 29 beginning at 10:00 and concluding around 11:00. Participants will be invited to suggest ways in which the Mother of Mercy legacy can be incorporated into the building. The school is at 6000 Oakwood Ave. Please park in any available spot and meet in the main lobby.

• Students will be dismissed on Wednesday May 3 at 12:55 so faculty and staff can attend a meeting at McAuley called by the leadership of the Sisters of Mercy. When the Sisters announced the blending of Mother of Mercy and McAuley, they pledged to return for follow-up meetings with school employees as well as representatives of other stakeholder groups.

• Sophomores! Check a very important announcement on your service blackboard organization regarding the Sophomore Service Celebration on Monday!

• Looking for a fun way to volunteer? Consider helping out with the Girls on The Run 5K event to be held May 13th‬‬‬‬‬‬, downtown at Paul Brown Stadium. Sign-up information is available at the counseling office or with Mrs. Starkey. You must register by May 1‬‬‬‬‬‬st. Activities might include helping grade school age girls with hair-painting, pinky promises, tiara-making, and sign-making.

• "Freshmen and sophomores! Are you interested in a career in the IT field? Check out the INTERalliance IT Careers Summer Camps happening in July. The IT Careers Camp is not a computer camp, nor a programming camp, nor a STEM camp. This nationally acclaimed unique camp experience introduces students first-hand to how technology is applied to real-world business problems. You stay overnight at a local university, getting a taste of what college will be like and you will visit local businesses such as Procter & Gamble, Kroger, Toyota, GE Aviation to see what an IT career can look like for you. • Anyone interested in ordering a Spanish Club sweatshirt needs to sign up outside room 10 no later than Monday of next week.

• Tickets are now on sale for Mercy's final theatre production of the year. Come check out '5 Fest: An evening of One-Acts', presented by the Mercy drama students. There will be comedy, selfies, music, Disney princesses, and even murder?! Tickets are $5 and are available in Mercy's main office and at the door. Performances are May 5th and 6th at 7pm in the Sr. Mary Carlos Theatre. We hope to see you there!

• Please join us for our 2 voice recitals this Sunday. Mrs. Wells' students perform at 6 PM. All other students who take private lessons have their recital at 3. The recitals are free and open to the public! Any students who would like to practice today can stop in to see Mrs. Zang before the end of the school day.

• Mr. Dwertman’s B1 art class needs to submit all art work for the show this weekend by flex today.

• The Sophomore Service Celebration takes place on Monday during 4th period. Sophomores, this is a dress up day for you. Please follow the guidelines in the handbook regarding appropriate attire.

• Attention all Senior members of NHS and newly selected NHS members... Please come to Room 10 sometime during the day today to pick up information pertaining to the Honors Banquet on May 9th.

• All Juniors in Mrs. Schroeder's A4 Christianity and the Arts have honor time. Please check Blackboard for your assignment and check into the main office at the beginning of class for attendance.

• Bick's driving school has a new class beginning Monday, May 1st. Students who sign up for this class will receive a surprise gift. This is the last class held at Mercy this year. Call Bick's to register.

• There will be a meeting for all those interested trying out for soccer on Monday after school in Room 2. The meeting will take about 20-30 minutes. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend.
