Admissions Policy and Process
Admission to Mother of Mercy High School is based on several factors reflecting the mission of the school. Priority is given to students who would benefit from a college preparatory curriculum and an environment which encourages participation in extracurriculars. We have a strong commitment to Catholic tradition and the core values from our Sisters of Mercy of Faith, Compassion, Service, Leadership and Excellence. We have also made a commitment to sustain a student body that represents cultural, academic, and socio-economic diversity so we can prepare students to live and work in a global society. Mercy does not deny admittance on the basis of race, religion, national origin or ancestry. Admissions decisions are made by the school’s Admissions Committee under the direction of the Principal. Admissions decisions include a review of an applicant’s transcript or report card, standardized testing, behavior and attendance records in addition to the Admissions Application. When there are more qualified candidates than openings available, the school establishes an unranked waiting list. If any openings occur, the Admissions Committee reviews and accepts candidates in the order of application submission date. 9th, 10th or 11th grade transfer students are not required to fill out this application and should work in communication with Heather Wagner, Associate Principal. Heather can be reached at email@example.com.
