UC IT Program

A Partnership between MECC and the University of Cincinnati School of Informational Technology

Through a new partnership with the University of Cincinnati School of Informational Technology, students at Mother of Mercy and McAuley High Schools interested in IT careers have access to incredible opportunities that will give them a jump start into college.  Students may take UC IT courses online during high school -- courses that can add up to one full year of college freshman coursework.  This not only gives students a head start in earning college credits, it also results in considerable savings when it comes time to pay for college tuition.

Students who successfully complete the UC coursework receive:

  • Automatic acceptance into UC's School of Informational Technology with sophomore standing
  • Work experience through five paid co-ops, the first of which begins the summer between high school graduation and their first year of college
